Cassie the Wiener Dog

We have a weiner dog named Cassie. She is about 10 years old and is the best. She has more gray hair than I do. She loves to ride the four wheeler with me or just run beside it. At Christmas, we buy her stuffed toys with squeakies in them and wrap them. She can find which one is hers under the tree. We have video of her unwrapping them. She does not like any toy but those and it takes her about 30 minutes to rip the seams, pull out all the stuffing in little cotton balls, pull the squeaky out and destroy it. Then she is through with it. She wants a blanket or pillow to go over her when she sleeps. Cassie is very obedient and knows what is said to her, like you ready for bed? you want a bath? (see hides under something), you want to go?

When my sons scuffle or anyone plays like they are hurting someone, Cassie will bark and run jump up at them until they stop. If anyone is eating, she sits beside them waiting for a bite. If the kitty walks into the room, she will growl or bark and run at him. She does that when we just say: Fluffy's gonna get your food.

Hey, I'd read if you listed what you ate for breakfast, lol.

You know, I had my blog for almost a year and a half before I felt very comfortable putting anything out there. Suddenly in the last month I've had this shift and now tentatively shared the link with a few people outside of Jackie's blog where ppl can of course find me by just clicking on my name.

Are there any interests you have -- like gardening, knitting, birdwatching, photography, scrapbooking? Do you love poetry, celebrity gossip, politics, recipes? Are you trying to accomplish something where the blog can document the journey... like going to Europe or China, or starting an exercise program, or helping your child get married or whatever... you could write what you see in your back yard or the news, with your kids, grandkids or about what you have learned in marriage... anything there spark an idea?

Have a great day! Oh, and the list you were so good as to say you;d share -- my e-mail for Jackie's crew is NwYrkrock@aol.com

Hi donna in the al... Thanks for leaving me a note on my blog. I just happened to go in to check.

I'm one of those 70 year olds who doesn't believe it. I don't feel it and my kids say people don't think I'm as old as I am because I don't act it. If that's what it takes...I'm all for it.

I learned the computer back in the 90's when I went to work for my church and they taught me to do the Sunday bulletin. I had to learn how to bring pictures in and used a program called Pagemaker. You don't see that much anymore.

Tell your mom there's a book out there for everything. The easiest way is to sit down with her and "show" her the basics. Tell her to get over the fear of losing information, and go for it. At least go and play games. Keeps your brain active too.

I enjoy reading your comments on jackie's blog donna. You sound like you have it all together.

We used to have a weiner dog too. Named Missy... she would eat just about anything you gave her, but if you put anything down there that had peas in it, when she finished eating, all the peas would be pushed over and left in one corner. Priceless. We would give them to her, just to watch her push them aside.

See you on jackie's. Or respond on my blog. Love talking individually.

Hi Donna, read your post. Maybe I should meet up with your mother and get her "up and at 'em". I really do want to do some traveling. Of course, my daughter and grandchildren will be tagging along. They probably wouldn't allow me to go alone, although they have to know I'm quite capable, but they wouldn't want to miss out on any of the fun.

Thanks for commenting. I really do enjoy talking individually.

Later!

Hey donna... I'm leaving the Criminal Minds post here in case it is a spoiler for somebody who hasn't watched it yet. You must go somewhere to watch it as soon as possible. I don't even want to ruin the ending for you, but you asked, so here it is.

They're ALL called to New York. A hooded killer... caught on tape, walks up and shoots somebody in the head. This happens on the subway, street, anywhere.

Computer girl (can you believe I can't remember her name) discovers that there is more than one killer, in fact, probably total of 7 so far. They finally figure out that this is not just a nut case, but a group of terrorists, and they have hacked into the FBI system and know where the Profilers are at all times.

The profilers have figured out that each place they have killed someone is where a bomb is going to be placed later, bridges, tunnels, subway, etc., and that they are really doing a dry run to see how fast the police will respond, thus why they have no rhyme or reason as to who is being shot.

The ending is where the profilers don't believe the terrorists know that the FBI has discovered they have hacked into the system, so each one of them had an assignment and then were to meet back at the police department.

At the end, after they completed their assignment, each is seen individually getting into their SUV to return to PD. One by one they get into the driver's seat and shut their door, then, just as the last door slams shut the scene shows one final car, and BOOM!!!!!! it blows up! Immediately goes to credits!

You don't know who's SUV it is. I backed up and looked at every angle over and over and just could not tell. All the cars looked alike. They even hid the license plates, so you couldn't pick it up that way either. They had all things covered so you couldn't tell. The way they lead up to it, you just weren't expecting a huge explosion. The whole car blew up!

Unreal! Now I really can't wait until next year. What a cliff hanger!

Enjoy talking with you too donna. I don't think I did CM justice, because it was so traumatic at the end... you just weren't expecting it. I hope you get to see it.

I'm with you re mode of dress. My slacks and a nice top is dressy. I wear a pair of Skechers that are slip ons, and because they have a silver thread going thru them on the top, I think they're dressy as well and wear them with anything. Church does require that I change my shoes, but that's it. Smile.

Looking forward to this long weekend off (4 days), even tho it means on Tuesday I have to work 8 hours instead of 4 in order to give the girl I share this job with her 4 day weekend. Worth every bit of it tho.

Sure hope Jackie is feeling better soon. It's probably a long recuperation period and I feel so bad for her.

See you on the other side... Later!

I am going to try and get another post in the works. Andi loves his mohawk and experimenting with colors. It is white now.I have to get a new picture of it for my avatar but he doesn't spike it up at home just when he goes somewhere.

I have a wiener dog too! Her name is Schatzi, she just turned 1 and she's a mini. She only weighs about 10lbs. She's very like your Cassie. She destroys every toy we give her, loves to snuggle under the covers and will sit and wait to be fed. She's a cheese-aholic!
